A multivitamin brings together several vitamins and minerals in a single dose. Its primary role is not to "cure" but to fill possible gaps when the diet does not cover all needs.

Each nutrient plays a specific role: vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, and B vitamins to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Our multivitamin brings together 22 nutrients dosed to the reference values.

Let's be honest about the evidence. In an already well-nourished person, a multivitamin has not been shown to prevent cardiovascular disease, cancer or death (a large 2022 review, over 700,000 people).

It does, however, fill inadequate intakes, and recent trials (COSMOS, 2023-2024) observed a modest effect on memory after age 60. The real benefits are those of the nutrients it provides, not a "global" miracle effect.

Preferably with a meal, with a glass of water: the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) are better absorbed with a little fat. Morning or midday is convenient.

What matters most is daily consistency, more than the exact time. It is taken at the dose stated on the label.

It covers the nutrients most likely to be lacking, at doses close to the reference values - neither too low nor excessive. It favours well-absorbed forms, states each nutrient and its amount, and avoids risky doses.

There is no universal multivitamin: the right choice depends on your profile (age, diet). The agreed criteria: named nutrients with their amount, reasonable doses (no mega-doses), well-absorbed forms, transparent labelling and controlled manufacturing.

An honestly dosed formula beats a long marketing list. Our multivitamin is formulated in Switzerland to these criteria.

At reasonable doses, adverse effects are rare. Mild digestive discomfort is possible on an empty stomach (hence taking it with meals). The real risk comes from excess: fat-soluble vitamins (A, D) accumulate at high doses.

Some high intakes are not advised (beta-carotene in smokers, iron without deficiency). Staying close to the reference values rules out this risk. If you are on treatment or unwell, seek professional advice.

There is no fixed-length "course": you take it as long as a need exists (unbalanced diet, particular period, restrictive diet). It is a baseline support over weeks or months, not a one-off treatment.

If your diet becomes varied and complete again, it is no longer essential. A check with a healthcare professional helps target what is actually missing.

For most vitamins, the body uses the synthetic form just as well as the "natural" one: the molecule is identical. The "natural" label therefore does not guarantee greater effectiveness.

There are a few exceptions (natural vitamin E is better absorbed). What matters is the precise chemical form and the dose, not the "natural" label.

Yes, a daily intake at the recommended doses is safe for a healthy adult - that is how it works. It does not replace a balanced diet, it complements it.

In a well-nourished person the benefit is limited; in someone with inadequate intake, consistency is precisely what fills the gaps. Just avoid stacking several supplements dosed on the same nutrients.

No one in absolute terms if the diet is varied and sufficient. But some profiles are more exposed: older adults (B12, D), vegetarians and vegans (B12, iron, zinc), pregnant women or those planning to be (folate, under medical supervision), restrictive diets.

In these cases it is a useful safety net - ideally after identifying what is missing.
